Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to simplify the mechanism of a feeding system without using any mechanical clutch or the like, by transmitting a rotating force of a platen to a paper feeding out rubber roller incorporating a one-way clutch, in a printer or the like. CONSTITUTION:The rotation of the platen 1 is transmitted through gears 2, 3, a pulley 5 and timing belts 4, 6 to a pulley 8 into which the one-way clutch 7 is fitted, and a pich-up roller 10 is rotated through a shaft 9. When the platen 1 is rotated in the direction of an arrow (a), the rotation of the roller 10 causes a sheet of paper provided in a hopper 11 to be stripped and fed until it is inserted into the platen 1, and when it is confirmed by a sensor 12, the rotation is stopped. Then the platen 1 is rotated in the direction of an arrow (b) to feed the paper to a printing position, at which moment the rotation of the roller 10 by the drawing-out of the paper and the rotation of the pulley 5 are disconnected and connected by the one-way clutch 7.
