Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce registance against the flow of mixed water in a mixing section by a method wherein a flow rate detecting means having the function of agitating the mixed water is provided between a mixing valve and a temperature detecting means arranged on the downstream side of the valve in the hot water feeder which is adopted to feed hot water by mixing high temperature water and ordinary temperature water to a desired set temperature. CONSTITUTION:When a faucet 109 is opened after setting the required temperature by a setting knob, an impeller 13 having a magnet 112 fixed thereto begins to rotate and the rotation of the impeller is detected by a magnetic detecting element 114. At the same time, a burner 117 begins to burn and the high temperature water from a hot water pipe 106 and the ordinary temperature water from a feed water pipe 103 flow into the mixing valve 105 so that both waters are mixed and supplied. When the mixed water flows out from the mixing valve and passes an impeller type flow rate switch 111, it is further mixed uniformly by the rotation of the impeller 113. When the mixed water is supplied, the temperature sensor 110 detects the temperature of the mixed water at all times and when the temperature of the mixed water is lower than the value value set by the setting knob, a motor 107 is operated so as to increase the flow rate ratio of the hot water temperature flowing into the mixing valve 105 from a hot water pipe 116, to thereby increase the temperature of the mixed water. On the other hand, when the condition is reversed, the motor 107 is operated so as to reduce the flow rate ratio of the high temperature water to the mixing valve 105 from the pipe 116, to thereby lower the temperature of the mixed water to be supplied and as a result, the mixed water is always supplied at a desired temperature.

Next, the operation will be explained. When the required temperature of mixed water is set by a setting immitter (not shown) and the faucet 10 is opened, the flow rate switch 6 detects the flow, the burner 16 starts combustion, and the mixing valve 6, high-temperature water from the hot water pipe 7 side and regular water from the water supply pipe 3 side flow, and the mixed water is supplied as hot water. At this time, the temperature sensor 11 constantly detects the temperature of the mixed water, and when the hot water temperature is lower than the setting value of the setting knob, the motor is activated so that the flow rate ratio of high temperature water from the hot water pipe to the mixing valve 5 is increased. 8 is driven to raise the hot water temperature. Conversely, when the hot water supply temperature is higher than the setting value of the setting knob, the motor 8 is driven so that the flow rate ratio of high temperature water from the hot water pipe 7 to the mixing valve 5 is reduced, lowering the hot water supply temperature and achieving the desired temperature. It can be used to supply hot water.

In this manner, the conventional water heater is provided with an agitation section 13 made up of a plurality of fixed plates 12 downstream of the mixing valve 5 in order to eliminate temperature unevenness of the mixed water, and a flow rate switch 6 is also installed in the piping. This has the disadvantage that the flow path resistance increases unnecessarily, and that the water supply pipe 3 and the hot water pipe 7 must be made thicker in order to supply more hot water.

Next, to explain the operation of the above configuration, when the temperature of the required mixed water is set using a setting knob (not shown) K and the faucet 109 is opened, the impeller 1 to which the magnet 112 is held
13 starts rotating. The magnetic detection element 114 detects this rotation, the burner 117 starts combustion, and high-temperature water from the hot water pipe 106 side and ordinary water from the water supply pipe 103 side flow into the mixing valve 105, forming mixed water. Hot water is supplied. Mixing valve 10
When the mixed water discharged from 5 passes through the impeller type flow rate switch 111, it is uniformly mixed by the rotation of the impeller 113. During hot water supply, the temperature sensor 110 constantly detects the temperature of the mixed water, and when the hot water supply temperature is lower than the setting value of the setting knob, the flow rate ratio of high temperature water from the hot water pipe 116 to the mixing valve 106 is increased. The motor 1 is driven to raise the hot water temperature.

When the hot water supply temperature is higher than the setting value of the setting knob, the motor 107 is driven so that the flow rate ratio of high temperature water from the hot water pipe 116 to the mixing valve 105 is reduced, and the hot water supply temperature is lowered to reach the desired temperature. It can supply hot water.

Further, since the rotation is detected by the magnet 112 and the magnetic detection element 114, the flow rate can be detected without being affected by water stains in the piping or changes in the hot water supply temperature. Note that, in addition to the burner 117, a pump or the like may be controlled by the blade wheel type flow rate switch 111, depending on the type and system of the heat source device.

(1) Since the flow rate detection means has both the function of equalizing the mixed water and the function of detecting the flow rate, there is no need to provide a stirring section or a flow rate switch, and costs can be reduced.
(2) Since there is no need to separately provide a flow rate switch, flow path resistance can be lowered, and there is no need to increase the diameter of the water supply pipe or hot water pipe.
