Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate completely ozone produced from a discharging means within a process kit, by providing a ozone eliminating means at the aperture part of the process kit which can be loaded to and unloaded from a picture forming device. CONSTITUTION:A process kit 17 contains a photosensitive drum 3, an electrostatic charger 6, a developing device 7, a cleaner 15 and an ozone eliminating filter 16 in a body. This kit 17 can be loaded to and unloaded from a main body C. When the kit 17 is loaded to the body C, the projected parts 17a and 17b of the kit 17 engage a guide 18 of the main body side to guide the kit 17. The filter 16 is provided at the aperture part outside the kit 17 and fitted oppositely to the position of an aperture 19 formed at the main body side when the kit 17 is loaded to the main body C.

In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a document mounting table made of a transparent member, which reciprocates in the direction of the arrow. Reference numeral 2 designates a short focus and small diameter imaging element array, in which a document placed on the document table 1 is exposed to light emitted from light A4 and passed through a color sensitivity correction filter 5 having a heat insulating effect, and the document image is is slit-exposed onto the photosensitive drum 6. 6 is a charger, and a uniform fi is placed on the photosensitive drum 6.
This uniformly charged drum 6 is subjected to image exposure by the short focus small diameter imaging element array 2 to form an electrostatic image. This electrostatic latent image is then converted into an ls image by a secondary developer 7.
