Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the integration of an ink jet recording head, by a method wherein an ink pressurizing chamber is separated from an ink flow passage to be formed into a hermetically closed liquid chamber as a separate structure and the change in the volume of this hermetically closed liquid chamber is transmitted to the ink flow passage through a rigid body to differentiate the heights between adjacent hermetically closed liquid chambers. CONSTITUTION:An ink flow passage 4 having a nozzle 1 provided to the leading end thereof and a hermetically closed liquid chamber 2' having an electrostriction vibrator 3 mounted to the wall surface thereof are independently provided and the change in the volume of the hermetically closed liquid chamber 2' is transmitted to the ink flow passage 4 through a rigid body 10 such as a stainless steel rod. By differentiating the length of the rigid body 10 by each ink jet units, each units can be arranged in an approaching state to each other and an ink jet head 5 wherein plural units are integrated in compact state can be obtained.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention is an improvement in an inkjet recording head that prints desired figures, characters, etc. on recording paper or other recording media by ejecting ink particles from the nozzle portion of the inkjet head. In particular, the ink pressurizing chamber, which was provided in the ink flow path of a conventional inkjet head integrally with the ink flow path, that is, in communication with the ink flow path, is separated from the ink flow path and separated. The volume of the sealed liquid chamber is changed by a vibration unit, and the change in volume is transmitted to the ink flow path via a rigid body, so that the height position of the sealed liquid chamber can be adjusted arbitrarily. so that it can be set to
When integrating heads, the heights of adjacent sealed liquid chambers are made different, making it possible to shorten the distance between adjacent chambers, making it easier to integrate heads.0 Figure 1 shows a conventional inkjet recording head. A side cross-sectional view showing an example, FIG. 2, is a view seen from the ■-■ carp in FIG. 5 is an ink flow path, 5 is a head main body, 6 is a head upper plate, 71 is an ink supply port pipe, and 8 is an ink supply piping tube. The ink droplets are ejected from the nozzle hole 1 by rapidly changing the speed, and the ink droplets are used to print on recording paper of various sizes as shown in the figure. However, since the electrostrictive vibrator is attached directly to the wall of the ink pressurizing chamber in the conventional inkjet recording head 1 (Ll) as described above, it is necessary to The area of the strain oscillator had to be widened, and therefore the area of the ink pressurizing chamber had to be widened, and there was a limit to the multiplication (integration) of heads.

The present invention has been made in order to eliminate the drawbacks of the prior art as described above, and basically, the ink pressurizing chamber as described above is separated from the ink flow path to form a sealed liquid chamber of a separate structure, The body 18 change of the sealed liquid chamber is transmitted to the ink flow path through the rigid body, thereby making the heights between adjacent sealed liquid chambers different, shortening the adjacent distance, and centralizing the head. According to the present invention, since the sealed liquid chamber 2' and the ink flow path 4 are separated and configured as separate bodies, the ink particles are ejected in response to the vibration of the ink droplet. I
The height of the sealed liquid chamber 21 can be set to any value of 1τ by making the body length 0 of the I-body 10 different. Therefore, the height of the adjacent sealed liquid chamber can be made to be different as shown in Fig. 6. By doing so, the distance between adjacent sealed/liquid chambers can be shortened and heads can be integrated. Figure 7 shows the 6th
The ink flow path of the head body 5 shown in the figure is viewed from above.
In the figure, 12 indicates an ink supply common circuit, and as shown in the figure, according to the present invention, ink jU, , +r circuits 41.4
□ Since it is necessary to provide an ink pressurizing chamber in The shortening of the spacing also makes it easier to place the ends. In the illustrated example above, the change in volume of the sealed liquid chamber is transmitted to the ink flow path through a thin plate made of stainless steel, nickel, phosphorized copper, or other rigid member 91.9 and the rigid body 10. However, the present invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment. For example, in FIG.
2. The entire upper cover of the head body may be made of an elastic material without providing the above.

As is clear from the above description, according to the present invention, it is possible to shorten the distance between adjacent pressurized liquid chambers (sealed liquid chambers), facilitating the integration of heads, and at the same time It is possible to process and assemble the chamber and the ink flow path separately, which has advantages such as facilitating the process and assembly of the head.
