Abstract

PURPOSE:To hold roll paper of several kinds with a single roll paper holder, by sliding a flange of a roll paper holding device to a shaft and engaging the flange in a click stopping state to plural annular grooves correspondig to a width of the paper. CONSTITUTION:A roll paper holder 11 of a roll paper holding device comprises a shaft 12, flange 14 and click mechansm 16. When roll paper 1 in width of, for instance, A4 size is mounted to this device, the flange 14 is slided to the shaft 12 to engage a ball 17 to an annular groove 13a for use of A4 size. Here the ball 17 is driven out from an annular groove 13b for use of, for instance, B4 size against tension of a spring 19, and then rolled on a major contour part 12a of th shaft 12 and engaged to the groove 13a for use of the A4 size by the tension of the spring 19. In this way, the flange 14 is slided to the shaft 12 to engage the ball 17 to the grooves 13a-13c alternatively further in a click stopping state, and the single holder 11 can be used for any one of the sizes A4, B4 and A3.
