Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an armature assembly in which the connection between a leaf spring and a magnetic material is strengthened, by a method wherein a printing wire is fixed to the tip of a magnetic material provided at the tip of a stretched piece, and fixing of the magnetic material and the stretched piece to each other is accomplished through diffusion bonding. CONSTITUTION:When a printing wire 26 rapidly approaches to a platen 2 and strongly strikes the platen 2 through an ink ribbon 13 and a paper 4, an ink on the ink ribbon 13 is adhered to the paper 4, thereby printing. Next, when passing of an electric current to the coil is interrupted, the free end of the wire 26 is again attracted by an attracting force of a permanent magnet, so that the wire 26 is returned to its original position. The leaf spring 28 and the magnetic material 25 are fixed to each other by diffusion bonding. By diffusion-bonding the leaf spring 28 and the magnetic material 25 to each other, both metals are mixed with each other at the bonding surface W, whereby a boundary layer between the two is eliminated, perfect contact can be achieved over the entire bonding surface, the passage of a magnetic flux coming in from the core is not prevented, and useless cambering is prevented from occurring in the leaf spring when bonding it to the magnetic material 25.

(b) Technical background FIG. 1 is an overall overview of an open-release serial printer. A frame 1 supports a platen 2 so as to be rotatable around the longitudinal direction thereof, and is intermittently rotated by a motor 9 (not shown) via a gear 3. The paper 4 is set by sprockets 5a and 5b extending at both ends of the platen 2, and is fed by the rotation of the platen 2. The carrier 6Fi, the guide shaft 7, and the space motor 9 are guided by the rotating feed screw 8 via the belt 10, and are spaced toward the platen 2 in the direction of arrow A. The printing head 11 is mounted on the carrier 6, and is provided with a plurality of printing wires 26 and an electromagnetic mechanism for driving them, and the electromagnet mechanism is selectively driven in synchronization with the movement of the carrier 6. The ink ribbon 13 is housed in an ink ribbon cassette 12 and runs between the print head 11 and the paper 4.

An electromagnet created by coil excitation made up of a wound core 21 and a permanent magnet are provided in the same magnetic path, and one end of the armature 25 is held on a cantilever by supplementing the spacer 23 in the magnetic path, and the other end is held on a cantilever. The printing wire 26 is fixed to the free end side, and the free end is attracted to the core 21 by constantly bending the gear 710 by the spacer 23 by the magnetic attraction force of the sleeve permanent magnet 20.

With this operation, the printing wire 26 rapidly approaches the platen 2 and passes through the ink ribbon 13 and paper 4 to the platen 2.
When the ink ribbon 13 is struck hard, the ink from the ink ribbon 13 adheres to the paper 4, resulting in printing. Next, when the coil 22 is de-energized, the free end is again attracted to the core 21 by the attractive force of the permanent magnet 20, and the printing wire 26 returns to its original position.
