On the other hand, conventional passenger conveyors (particularly the type G4, which was popularized in the early stages of use) have a configuration in which the original power rudder of the passenger conveyor is made into one point, as shown in FIG.

The main feature is that the step 1 and handrail 2 for carrying passengers are arranged in an endless manner, as shown in figure g1.
Each of L1 has drive wheels 3 and 4 and is driven at a predetermined speed. Further, in the upper machine room 5, a drive machine 6 consisting of a motor 6a and a speed reducer 6b is arranged, and the steps 1 and the handrail 2 are connected by checks 77 and 8 that transmit the rotation of the gear 6C of the drive machine 6. It has a mechanism to drive a driving body. Further, the above-mentioned components are supported by a main body frame 9 having a strong truss structure, and the inner and outer surfaces thereof are covered with a parapet 10 and an exterior plate 11.

The passenger conveyor shown in FIG. 1 has a balustrade type generally called an opaque type, and the material of the balustrade panel 12 is stainless steel, a painted plate, or acrylic resin. This balustrade shape is opaque because the drive wheel 4 was used as the only method to drive the handrail 2 in the early days of passenger conveyors becoming popular, and it was not possible to use see-through material for the balustrade panel 12. . However, in recent years, due to advances in single-slide drive technology, transparent balustrades that have moved away from the structural design shown in Figure 1 have become mainstream, and the harmonization with architectural design and the advancement of the balustrade design have contributed to the commercial value of the entire passenger conveyor. It is considered important to the extent that it makes a decision. For this reason, balustrade designs have changed in line with the trends of the times, and the material used to create them has also evolved from the traditional aluminum alloy to stainless steel, which has a high-class image.

As mentioned above, when the importance of railing design begins to be recognized, the age of passenger conveyors that were installed 1000 to 2000 years ago becomes noticeable, and there is a demand for a new design and the use of bulky materials.

On the other hand, the characteristic difference in terms of safety between the old and new passenger conveyors is that steps 1 and 1 shown in Figures 2 and 3.
It is in 3. The conventional Step 1 consists of a 1m aluminum alloy crease with many irregularities on its surface and a riser 1b made of a thin plate simply bent into a drum shape, but the recent Step 13 has a Ri! j) Both the riser 13g and the riser 13b have unevenness, and are configured to precisely engage with the step 13 member or the comb (not shown) of the entrance/exit to prevent the human body or clothes from being drawn in, which could lead to personal injury. In addition, the most recent and rated safest step is Ri! j) A caution band 13c made of reinforced resin around 13a,

There are also some products that have been effective in terms of both durability and safety.

The various measures to increase safety represented by steps are as follows:
Over the past few years, it has become extremely complete, and although not shown in the drawings, it is equipped with a safety device for handrail entry and exit, a step abnormality detection device, and various track maintenance devices, which contribute to the protection of the human factory.

Furthermore, recent passenger conveyors are oriented toward energy-saving operation as a social need, and comprehensive economical designs have been implemented such as improving the transmission efficiency of reducers, reducing friction loss, and reducing the weight of rotating bodies. There is. As a result, it has become possible to save 30 to 5,091 times more electricity than the man conveyor used a few years ago.

However, since the passenger conveyor is generally installed in the center of the store and serves as an important service facility for customers entering the store, it is not appropriate for the store to suspend the passenger conveyor for the final period for the above-mentioned rejuvenation. The current situation is extremely difficult for the company's business. In particular, it is not allowed to close the store to repair the passenger conveyor, and the amount of inconvenience this renovation will cause to general customers is unimaginable.

The configuration of the embodiment described above is such that a large number of components such as the support base 29, the mounting base 30, the rail mounting base 31, etc., which are complex and require high precision to be installed, can be installed at a place where a passenger conveyor is installed. The advantage is that it can be implemented in a manufacturing factory where the second frame 18 is manufactured without being joined to the first frame 9. Naturally, manufacturing plants have the advantage of being able to use efficient production equipment and manufacturing with high precision, and are more economical in terms of schedule and economy compared to methods where the same work is done on-site (inside a building). It has great advantages in terms of

At this point, the second man conveyor 15 is constructed by removing the members extending inward from the second frame body 9 at the above-mentioned passing site, and then forming the second frame body 1 by integrally unitizing the small parts.
Step 13, which is equipped with Step 8 and is further made into a separate unit.

In addition, this renovation work
Since it is unavoidable to carry out operations up to F after the store is open, and there is a concern about fires caused by the welding work that is essential to this work, the frame 18 that is made into units at the manufacturing factory as in one embodiment is adopted. This method is also highly effective in terms of fire prevention and safe work.
