Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain said curved member having uniform stiffness and strength by forming groups in which only one ends in the longitudinal direction are constrained and other groups in which only the other ends are constrained in a reinforced fiber bundle into which a synthetic resin liquid is impregnated and giving tension among both constrained ends. CONSTITUTION:One ends in the longitudinal direction of a blank 1 in which the synthetic resin undiluted solution 2 is impregnated into the reinforced fiber bundle 3 consisting of a large number of fiber elements 4 extending in the longitudinal direction are constrained so as to belong to groups different at every each element 4 adjacent in the width direction and thickness direction of the blank 1, and divided into first group elements 4a constrained by a frame body 5 and second group elements 4b constrained by a frame body 6. The element 1 is arranged between dies 7, 8 for molding in a curved shape having predetermined curvature, tension is given between both ends of the fiber bundle 3, and the undiluted solution 2 is heated and cured under the state in which the relaxation of the elements 4 on the side having large curvature in a curved section is prevented.

Leaf springs used in automobile suspension systems have a bow shape in their free state, but such curved members are called FR.
When forming from P (fiber-reinforced synthetic resin), the conventional reinforcing fiber bundle is impregnated with the original synthetic resin to form a straight material, and this material is held in a curved shape in a mold as it is and cured. Please tell me to do it. Therefore, among the reinforcing fibers laminated in the thickness direction, many of them are located in rings with large curvature, and they are relaxed and do not form a wave shape, resulting in the rigidity of the product. There was a problem in that strength etc. decreased or varied.

The present invention was made under the above circumstances, and its object is to provide a method for molding a curved member made of i''RP in which reinforcing fibers are evenly stretched.

The present invention provides a reinforcing fiber bundle impregnated with a synthetic fat stock solution, and is provided with nine groups in which only one end in the longitudinal direction is restrained and nine groups in which only the other end is restrained, and tension is applied to both of these restrained ends. It is a % image of a person who has changed his mind. However, since tension is applied to both groups in opposite directions, they are stretched regardless of the magnitude of the curvature at the curved part, and there is no loosening, so the rigidity and strength of the product are uniform. The present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. 1st
In the figure, a material 1 includes a reinforcing fiber bundle 3 impregnated with synthetic resin uA 2. This reinforcing fiber bundle 3 includes a plurality of fiber elements 4 made of, for example, glass, Kerr I7, or other suitable fiber materials, or a mixture thereof, and extending in the longitudinal direction. 4
. . . are elements 4a belonging to the first group whose longitudinal ends are restrained by one frame 5, and elements 4b belonging to the second group whose other ends are restrained by the other frame 8.

b... are configured to belong to different details for each element 4 adjacent to each other in the width direction and thickness direction of the material 1, as illustrated in FIG. If necessary, they may be arranged in different groups for each column in the thickness direction as illustrated in FIG. 4, or in multiple rows in the width direction as illustrated in FIG. Other suitable arrangements may also be used.

The material 1 constructed as described above is placed between the forming portions 11F and 11a, as illustrated in FIG. 2, and is held in a curved shape with a desired curvature. At this time, the frame 5. Tension is applied to both ends of the fiber koji bundle 3 by an appropriate means (as shown) K through θ, and the synthesis I11 is performed in a state where the elements 4 in the curved portion with large curvature are prevented from loosening.
Heat and harden fat IA liquid 2. In this way, material 1
After curing, take it out from Wl, 8 and cut both ends as necessary to obtain an FRP curved member.

According to the above configuration, the fiber elements 4a... and 4k...
・Since tensions are applied to K through the restraining frames 5 and 6 that are opposite to each other, even if the material 1 is curved, the fiber elements 4 will not loosen regardless of the curvature. Therefore, the fiber elements 4... can be uniformly stretched to obtain an FRP 1 lil curved member.
