[Detailed Description of the Invention] The present invention relates to a vacuum cleaner which is provided with a dust collecting section in the front part and has an electric blower, a cord reel, etc. installed in the rear thereof, and is particularly aimed at reducing noise caused by the exhaust air of the electric blower. This relates to a sound deadening structure.

Generally, this type of vacuum cleaner has a structure in which the exhaust air from the electric blower is discharged outside from the exhaust port on the rear end of the vacuum cleaner body, so there is a gap between the electric blower located at the rear and the exhaust port. The length of the connecting exhaust passage is short, and there is a limit to the reduction in exhaust air noise due to the shape of the exhaust passage or the sound-deadening material installed in the passage, especially as vacuum cleaner bodies become smaller as in recent years. The smaller the space required for noise reduction, the more difficult it is to achieve low noise.

The present invention has been made in view of the above, and provides a low-noise vacuum cleaner by effectively utilizing the front and rear dimensions of the long vacuum cleaner body to reduce noise caused by the exhaust air of an electric blower. This is what I am trying to do.

The air discharged from the electric blower 20, that is, the exhaust air, passes through the sound deadening material 23 and the porous sound deadening plate 24, and then passes through the passage 27.
It enters the passage 28 from the exhaust passage A and collides with the sound deadening material 29
, is discharged to A. The exhaust air exhausted to the exhaust passages A, A flows from the rear end side to the front end side, passes through the sound deadening material 31, and is discharged to the outside of the machine from the exhaust port 30. Then,
The above-mentioned exhaust passage A has a sufficient length equivalent to the front and rear dimensions of the vacuum cleaner body 10, and is approximately straight, so it gives a rectifying effect to the flow of the exhaust air, and the rectification of the exhaust air has a large effect. It can exhibit a noise reduction effect. Also, the exhaust air is dispersed to the exhaust passages A and A on both sides. As a result, the wind speed is greatly weakened and wind noise is also attenuated, making it possible to significantly reduce overall noise.

Note that the exhaust passage A extends long from the rear end to the front end of the vacuum cleaner body 1, and has a large sound-dampening space.
A sound deadening material may be provided in the middle, and in this way, the sound deadening effect can be further enhanced.

As described above, according to the present invention, a vacuum cleaner main body having an air intake port is provided at the front end, a dust collection section connected to the air intake port is provided at the front part of the vacuum cleaner main body, and an electric motor is provided at the rear of the dust collection section. In a vacuum cleaner having an internal blower, a cord reel, etc., an exhaust passage extending from the rear end to the front end of the vacuum cleaner body is formed in the vacuum cleaner body, and the exhaust air of the electric blower is passed through the exhaust passage to the outside of the machine. By configuring the vacuum cleaner so that it can be discharged into the air, even if the vacuum cleaner itself is miniaturized, the front and rear dimensions of the long vacuum cleaner body can be effectively used to create a large space for noise reduction. Countermeasures can be easily taken and noise reduction can be achieved.

Furthermore, by forming the exhaust passage along the inner surface of the side wall of the cleaner main body, the exhaust passage becomes substantially straight, which helps in rectifying the exhaust air and further enhances the noise reduction effect.
