PURPOSE:To provide a printer having such a construction as not to require any detecting means for a printing position or any selecting and controlling means for a preset value, by connecting a home position signal forming means to an operating lever for changing over between printing on a rolled paper and that on a sheet form paper. CONSTITUTION:In the printer 1 capable of selectively printing on the rolled paper 7 fitted in the printer or on the sheet form paper 8 placed on a table by changing over the operating lever 9, a home position detecting plate 20 is connected to a shaft 19 for the lever 9.
