A wire assembly formed by bundling together multiple electric wires with connectors, connection terminals, etc. at their ends is placed in a narrow place such as the inner pocket of a housing or a wire insertion part (hole, pipe, etc.) In such cases, it is natural that wires become difficult to wire if the bundled wires become open, and generally, measures such as wrapping with tape or tightening bands are used to prevent the bundle from collapsing.
When it is necessary to connect each electric wire to an electrical device or other electric wire through a narrow space, the part that was wrapped with tape or banded must be untied and put back together, making the work cumbersome.

The present invention aims to solve such problems in wiring processing, and has a simple structure that can be used repeatedly.Furthermore, the present invention uses a cover that can be installed and removed with a single touch operation, so that it can be installed in narrow spaces. The purpose of the present invention is to propose a novel wiring processing method that allows processing of wiring sets to be carried out extremely smoothly. The contents of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1 denotes a wire assembly, which is formed by bundling electric wires 2, 2 having connectors 3, connection terminals 4, etc. at their ends, and is installed in a housing, for example, an automobile body 11, in an instrument panel section 12. It is used for connecting wiring between each device in the engine room 13 and each device such as a battery in the engine room 13, and it is used to pass through a tire house 14.14 located on the side of the engine room 13, and then a wiring insertion hole 15,

In this case, since the tire house 14 and the wiring insertion hole 15 are narrow parts for wiring, it goes without saying that it is difficult to wire the wire assembly 1 if the wires 2, 2 are separated. Therefore, the part installed inside the tire house 14.14 can be kept in a focused state by tightening tape or bands at important points, but the part installed inside the tire house 14. It is not advisable to fix the end portions of the electric wires 2, 2 all at once with tape or the like since the electric wires 2, 2 are arranged in a distributed manner in the desired direction.

The cover 5 has a male side part 7 of a cloth fastener on the back side of a flexible rectangular base fabric 6, and a female side part 9 of a cloth fastener on the front side.
The male side part 7 has a thin tape-like material in which a large number of hook members 8 are clustered, and is attached along one side of the back side, while the female side part 9 is attached to the base. A large number of ring members 10 that can be engaged with the hook members 8 are arranged on the surface side of the cloth 6 from the side opposite to the above-mentioned one side to the entire width or part of the width thereof.

Examples of the cover 5 are as follows: The base fabric 6 is made of a soft vinyl sheet, and the tape-shaped male side part 7 of the cloth fastener is sewn to a predetermined position on the back side of the base fabric 6. A sheet-like female side part 9 of a cloth fastener is sewn on the front side, and a base fabric 6 and a female side part 9 of a cloth fastener or a nylon pile fabric cut into a predetermined rectangle are attached. While the side parts can be used for both purposes, there is also one in which a tape-shaped male side part 7 of a cloth fastener is sewn to one side of the back side.

The cover 5 having such a structure is highly flexible and can be coiled into a round cylindrical shape to obtain a cylindrical body of any diameter.Furthermore, the ends of the wrapped portion are formed into opposing male and female sides. By sealing with 9, the cylindrical shape is maintained, which is very convenient.

Next, we will describe the procedure for wiring using the cover 5. Turn the cover 5 with its back side inward so that it wraps around all the connectors such as the connector 3 and terminals 4, and the electric wires 2, 2 connected thereto. Then, starting from the one side on the front side, the wire assembly 1 is wound into a coil, and the end of the wrapped portion is sealed by engaging a cloth fastener in the manner described above.

As described above, the present invention provides a method for wiring in a narrow space by covering the wire assembly 1 with a cover 5 of a special structure that can be easily assembled into a cylindrical shape or rolled out into a sheet shape. Therefore, when inserting the wires into the wire insertion section, the cover 5 covering the wire assembly functions as a guide member and a protection member, which significantly improves work efficiency. This eliminates inconveniences such as damage to the wires, etc., and enables highly reliable wiring processing.

1. A wire assembly 1 formed by bundling a plurality of electric wires 2 having connectors 3, connection terminals 4, etc. at their terminals is installed in a narrow place such as an inner pocket of a housing 11 or a wire insertion portion. First, the hook members 8 are piled up along one side of the back side of the rectangular base fabric 6, thereby forming the male side portion 7 of the cloth fastener in the shape of a narrow tape. A ring member 10 that can be engaged with the member 8 is arranged in a row on the surface side of the rectangular base fabric 6 over the entire width or a part of the width from the side opposite to the one side, so that the female of the sheet-like cloth fastener is formed. Using the cover 5 formed with the side portions 9, the cover 5 is wrapped around the connector and the electric wire 2,
Winding a coil around the wire assembly 1 starting from the one side of the surface,
Moreover, the wire assembly 1 is coated by sealing the winding end of the wrap portion with the male side part 7 and the female side part 9, and the wire assembly 1 covered with the cover 5 is disposed in the narrow place. After that, the male side part 7 and the female side part 9 are disengaged, the cover 5 is removed, and the wire assembly 1 is wired.
