Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain the recording prevention and index detection, by forming at least a part of a magnetic disc cassette with a transparent body of light, transmitting and interrupting the light, and detecting rays at the side a recording and reproducing device. CONSTITUTION:At least a part of the magnetic disc cassette is formed with the transparent body of light. For example, a transparent part 1a is provided at the upper and lower part of the cassette around a recording prevention detection section to form the recording prevention mode through the presence/absence of the output of photocouplers 10, 11. A sheet 9 is sticked to interrupt the light. A transparent section is provided at the uper and lower part of the cassette at an index hole 8 and the index is detected with the photocouplers 10, 11 with a label 12 to be sticked. In sticking the label and sheet selectively at the transparent part of the cassette, the recording inhibition mode is attained or the index is detected. Thus, complicated openings of the cassette is made unnecessary and the change of the detection means at the device side is made easy.

上下のカセットハーフな突き合わせて固定した構造を有
し、内部には磁気ディスク2が収容されており、合成樹

は中央部に磁気ディスク2の円孔2aよりひと回り大き
な円形のセンターホール3が形成されており、装置への
装着方向の前端部側には磁気ヘッドが嵌入するヘッドウ
ィンド4が形成されている。また、センターホール3を
はさんでその左右にはインデックスウィンド5,5が形
成されており、記録防止用の透孔6がその一部に形成さ
れている。符号8で示すものはインデックス用穴、符号
7で示すものはカセット1の内側に貼着された磁気シー
ト保護用のライナーである。

れる各種のセンサの取り付は位置の自由度が失なわれて
しまうなどの欠点があった。

別材質を用いてもよいし、又は光の透過する部分を除い

貼るだけでフォトセンサなどを用いた検出手段による検
出が可能となり、検出側の位置や検出手段の取り付は個
数の増減などに極めて容易に対応することができ、遺択
の自由度が増大する。

や開口部を設けて複雑化することなく装置側の検出手段
の変更や増減に、自由に対処することができるという優
れた効果が得られる。
