Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the overflow of a toner from a waste toner vessel to use effectively the capacity of the vessel, by using the magnetic force, which is generated between a magnet in one end of the waste toner vessel and a magnet roller facing this magnet to oscillate a part of the vessel. CONSTITUTION:The waste toner scraped from the surface of a photoreceptor 1 is gathered by a magnet roller 3 which is rotated in the direction opposite to the photoreceptor 1, and the waste toner is peeled off from the surface of the roller 3 by a scraper 4 and is dropped into a waste toner vessel 7 by a rotary crrying a blade 5. A magnet 3 is attached to an outside wall face 7a, which faces the roller 3, of the vessel 7, and the vessel 7 is oscillated with a hinge part 11 with the axis by mutual attraction and repulsion when the magnet roller 3 is rotated, and thus, the waste toner is accumulated with a uniform level in the vessel 7. Consequently, the capacity of the vessel 7 is used effectively, and the overflow of the waste toner is prevented to prevent the dirt of peripheral devices.

The cleaning device for this barrel is, for example, a type in which a fur brush is rotated to drop m* of toner remaining on the photoreceptor (hereinafter referred to as waste toner), which is sucked by a fan and guided into a container for storage. There is a method in which residual toner is scraped off from the photoreceptor with a blade made of a soft elastic material such as rubber, collected by a magnetic roller, and then sent to a waste toner container by a conveying member such as a screw or rotating blade. .

In the latter type mentioned above, the collection magnet functions simply by installing a waste toner container next to -2 and dropping it into it, without the complexity of transporting it to nine different positions by a transport member. 9. Something has been devised to improve this.

That is, to explain the illustrated example, in FIG. 1, 1 is a photosensitive drum rotating in the direction of the arrow. Reference numeral 2 denotes a blade made of a soft elastic material such as rubber, and its edge is pressed against the surface of the photosensitive drum 1 to scrape off the waste toner remaining on the surface of the photosensitive drum 1. The scraped off toner is collected by a magnet roller 3 rotating in the opposite direction to the photosensitive drum 1.

The noise toner collected on the surface is peeled off from the surface of the scraper 4C and accumulates on the upper surface of the scraper 4. This waste toner is dropped into the waste toner container 7 by the rotary conveying blade 5. The waste toner container 7 is generally disposed directly below the scraper 4 with one side wall surface 7a close to the magnet row 23 as shown in the figure.

In this type of waste toner storage method, the falling position of the conveying member 51 is always constant, so when the toner powder is deposited, it forms its own angle of repose, so it is deposited in the shape of a mountain in the container. As shown in FIG. 2, waste toner accumulates in uneven positions in the container, causing problems such as waste toner overflowing even though the capacity of the waste toner container is not fully utilized.

For this purpose, a light source lamp 8 is used, for example, a waste toner filling amount detection device consisting of a light detection element 10 made of glass fiber and installed facing the transparent part of the wall surface of the waste toner container 7. When the lamp 7 is filled with waste toner, the light emitted from the lamp 8 is blocked by the waste toner. The problem was that it became meaningless.

The present invention aims to eliminate the above-mentioned disadvantages in this type of cleaner device, and the present invention is implemented as shown in the following figure.
This will be explained in detail.

In FIG. 1, 11 is a hinge that swingably supports the waste toner container 7 on the cleaner frame 6, and 12 is a hinge between the container 7 and the cleaner frame 6 so that the waste toner container 7 is always maintained at the position indicated by the solid line in the figure. It is a spring that is tensioned.

6a indicates a stopper for the container holder. On the other hand, a magnet 13 is attached to an outer wall surface 7m of the waste toner container 7 facing the magnet roller 3, as shown in a partially enlarged view of FIG. 1 (Jl).

When the magnet roller 3 rotates in the above configuration, its S pole faces the magnet 13 magnetized as shown, and in the case of 9, an attractive force is generated.
When the north poles are opposed to each other, the waste toner container 7 to which repulsive force is applied alternately vibrates in the direction of the arrow about the hinge portion 1o.

The strength of the spring 12 is the weight of the container 7, the roller 3 and the magnet 1.
The value is set to a value that allows the container 7 to vibrate, taking into consideration the gravitational force of No. 3 and the like. 1. Such vibrations cause the waste toner in the waste toner container 7 to be deposited at a uniform level, so that the waste toner is always deposited at a uniform level in the container 7.

The magnet 13 described above may be replaced with a magnetic material. In the case of a magnetic material, each of the magnet rollers 3 faces the magnetic material and an attractive force acts to rotate the container 7 clockwise in the figure. The force overcomes this and pulls the container 7 back counterclockwise, causing the container 7 to vibrate.

FIG. 3 shows a plan view of another embodiment, in which the waste toner container 7 is fixed to the cleaner frame 6). Further, a magnet 13 is set on the container side surface 7b facing the magnet roller 3. The container 7 is made of a non-magnetic elastic material such as resin or rubber.

As in the previous embodiment, due to the attractive and repulsive forces of the magnet roller 3 and the magnet 13, the mounting surface 7b of the magnet 13 is displaced as shown by the broken line in FIG.

Since the present invention has the above-mentioned configuration, it is possible to level out and evenly deposit nine waste toners that have been scraped into a container one after another in a cleaning device of the type illustrated in FIG. Become. Therefore, the capacity of the container can be fully utilized, which not only reduces the frequency of waste toner being disposed of outside the copying device, but also prevents waste toner from overflowing from the waste toner container and contaminating peripheral devices. . It also improves the reliability of detecting the amount of waste toner in the container. It also has the advantage that it can be easily and inexpensively added to a conventional cleaner by simply adding a spring if necessary, so that it can be retrofitted.
