    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. （１）原稿を放電管を用いてスリット状に照明する原稿
    照明装置において、前記放電管はその表面が前記放電管
    を保温するための保温部材で被包されており、この保温
    部材は放電管の長手方向に沿ってスリット状開口部を有
    し、このスリット状開口部の幅が前記放電管の長手方向
    に沿って中心部では狭く、端部では広くなっている原・
    　稿照明装置。
  2. （２）放電管は、その表面を覆う管状のガラス層と、こ
    のガラス層の内面に被着された蛍光層と、この蛍光層と
    前記ガラス層の長手方向に伸びスリット状部分以外の内
    面に挾まれた反射層を具備し、前記スリット状部分から
    光を発する実用新　　・案登録請求の範囲第１項記載の
    原稿照明装置。
