PURPOSE:To raise the accuracy and durability of an expanding and contracting mechanism by a method in which each side flange and a drum body are connected with a rack and a pinion, and by turning the pinion, each side flange is moved to the widthwise direction of the drum body. CONSTITUTION:When taking out a tire after being molded, the fixing bolts of a drum body 1 and flanges 10a and 10b are released, any one of pinions 11a and 11b is turned counterclockwise, and the side flanges 10a and 10b are each moved to the center of the drum body 1 by a given distance C for width adjustment.
