DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION For example, when it is necessary to dye a veneer in the production of laminated decorative veneers, the veneer obtained by cutting green lumber with a rotary lace or the like is boiled and dyed in a dye bath.

In this case, materials with good dyeability (normal wood) can be dyed, but materials with poor dyeability (abnormal wood, such as Ate wood) have poor dyeability, and if both are mixed in the same dyeing bath,
This means that there will be materials that can be dyed and materials that cannot be dyed. Moreover, since the surface color of the wood is dyed the same color, only the internal color is different, so it is difficult to sort by non-destructive inspection. Therefore, for example, in cases where internal color matching is required, such as in laminated decorative veneers, uneven dyeing may occur.

This invention is characterized in that when dyeing wood such as veneer, the wood is boiled in advance to a moisture content of 200 to 250 wt%, and then placed in a dyeing bath for dyeing. There is usually sufficient water in the wood, and the pores in the wood are also filled with water. Therefore, the dye in the dyeing agent diffuses into the wood using water as a medium, making it possible to dye the wood uniformly. Conventionally, there is a moisture distribution (in terms of pore distribution) in the wood, and in areas where no water is present, water gradually penetrates during the dyeing process, and then the dye molecules diffuse, which delays dyeing and causes uneven color. It becomes.

This invention focuses on this point, and by increasing the moisture content in advance to an extremely high level as described above, dyeing is carried out with a constant moisture distribution in the wood, which eliminates uneven dyeing and makes it possible to dye materials that are difficult to dye. It also made it easy to dye. The best way to achieve such a high moisture content is to boil the wood.

It should be noted that if the water content is less than 200 wt%, the effect of uniform dyeing will be small, while if it exceeds 250 wt%, the effect of uniform dyeing will not improve and is meaningless. The following will be explained based on Examples.

Example A 1 mm thick veneer of Aius (raw veneer, used as a mixture of hard-to-dye veneer and easily-dyed veneer) was boiled at 95° C. for 3 hours, and then immersed in cold water for 2 days and nights. The water content at this time was 200 to 220 wt% in both cases.

This veneer was placed in a dyeing bath at 95°C and dyed for 3 hours (bath ratio 30). After drying the dyed veneer, it was sanded and the interior was compared. There was almost no difference in staining in other areas.

Comparative Example 1 A 1 mm thick IUS veneer (raw veneer, used as a mixture of difficult-to-dye veneer and easily-dyed veneer) was placed in a dyeing bath and heated to 95°C.
When the dyed veneer was dried for 3 hours (bath ratio 30) and then sanded to compare the internal colors, it was found that the pipes and other parts of the easily dyed veneer were dyed to almost the same color, but the veneer that was difficult to dye was dyed to almost the same color. Although the conduit portion of the plate could be stained, staining did not proceed in tissues other than the conduit, resulting in a clear color difference.

Comparative Example 2 When IUS 1 mm thick veneer (raw veneer, used as a mixture of hard-to-dye veneer and easily-dyed veneer) is immersed in water at 95°C, the easily-dyed veneer will lose 200% in about 30 minutes. The moisture content is ~22Qwt%, but the moisture content of difficult-to-dye veneer is <2 after 3 hours.
A moisture content of less than 00 wt% was reached.
