When transplanting tobacco, cabbage, etc. seedlings to the ridges of a field using a transplanter, conventionally the seedlings were collected one by one from the nursery and a temporary seedling tray was installed in the machine body. The seedlings were placed on a pedestal, and as the transplanter moved, the seedlings on the pedestal were sequentially fed by hand to a seedling feeding mechanism provided in the machine.

Therefore, when transplanting seedlings, it is time-consuming to collect the seedlings one by one from the nursery, and while the transplanter is running, the seedlings placed on the seedling stand are manually fed one by one to the seedling feeding mechanism. However, there were problems such as the manual work was cumbersome and the work efficiency was low.

In view of the above-mentioned problems, the present invention involves growing seedlings in continuous seedling-raising pots in which pots for raising individual seedlings are connected.
When planting with a transplanter, by loading the continuous seedling raising pot as it is into the seedling feeding mechanism of the transplanting machine, the seedlings to be transplanted can be continuously and automatically supplied to the planting mechanism one by one. It provides continuous pots.

Further, a seedling pot driving rod 73 is disposed above the bottom plate 72, and this seedling pot driving rod 73 is driven to rotate intermittently in relation to the vertical movement of the seedling holding cup 64. The placed continuous seedling raising pot 9 is intermittently moved to the seedling drop hole 72a at an appropriate length feed rate, and the seedlings to be planted in the seedling growing continuous pot 9 are dropped from the seedling dropping hole 72a into the seedling holding cup 64. The transfer of seedlings is done by a person.

In the above-mentioned embodiment, the bottom plate 72a was positioned horizontally, but the portion of the bottom plate 72 up to just before the seedling drop hole 72a may be formed at an angle of inclination so as to be slightly downward toward the seedling drop hole 72H. As a result, the continuous seedling growing pot 9 can be moved more smoothly to the side of the seedling drop hole 72a.

As detailed above, the continuous seedling growing pot 9 according to the present invention is
A plurality of seedlings can be arranged side by side and connected by engaging the protrusions and grooves, and therefore no parts are required for connection, and seedlings can be raised by putting soil in the seedling-raising pot 90. Since the connection does not come off even when the soil is placed in the seedling-raising pots 90 and the soil is submerged, there is no risk of imbalance in the amount of soil in each seedling-raising pot 90 or root entrapment of the seedlings.

At the time of transplantation, the continuous seedling growing pot 9 can be easily separated and the continuous seedling growing pot 9 can be loaded into the seedling growing cup guide section 74, so the seedlings 10 to be planted can be transferred one by one from the nursery as in the conventional method. This eliminates the trouble of collecting and transporting the seedlings, and the seedling feeding mechanism 7 that supplies the seedlings 10 to the planting mechanism 6 only needs to be manually fed in units of 9 continuous pots for raising seedlings. This eliminates the need to manually feed 10 plants one by one, thereby increasing the efficiency of planting work and reducing fatigue caused by operating the transplanter.

Furthermore, the continuous pot 9 for growing seedlings after transplantation can be used repeatedly by being connected again, which has excellent practical benefits such as being economical.
