Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide exterior parts for a portable watch with improved corrosion resistance and cutting property, obtained by using an alloy consisting of Ni, Cr, Mo, Fe, Cu, Nb and C in a specific ratio as a base material. CONSTITUTION:An alloy consisting of, on the wt. basis, 18-23% Cr, 7-10% Mo, 1-10% Fe, 2-6% Cu, 2% or less Nb, 0.06% or less C and the remainder consisting of Ni and inevitable impurities is prepared. By using this alloy as a base mateial, exterior parts for a portable watch excellent in corrosion resistance and good in processability is obtained inexpensively.

Conventionally, 1 watch exterior parts were made of austenitic stainless steel.
For example, 1BOr-8Ni stainless steel has been widely used for 911. However, when the exterior parts have complex VrFlt parts, sweat and sea water act on the interstitial parts during carrying, causing corrosion, which is known. Even though I used Or-Ni-Mo alloy nickel-funded brass, I couldn't find anything satisfactory *'
The above phenomenon was more severe in cases where the plating was too strong, such as with an Itr mesh band.

Or is an element that has a remarkable effect of improving corrosion resistance and also improves the strength of the alloy. The 15-inch corrosion-resistant tube in the N1 base is shown, but is it sufficiently corrosion-resistant? In order to maintain this, it is necessary to use Ftj 18m above the 25gb pipe, and the alloy has poor malleability and is difficult to process.

Cu has the effect of deteriorating collection resistance or increasing the potential as an alloy due to its high electrode potential with respect to hydrogen, and improving resistance to local battery corrosion due to potential difference with plating and rigidity. The rigidity side is set at h22, and the chemical resistance side is set at 6.
