Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent overdischarge of a battery, by constituting an engine key switch not to relate to conduction of an electric current to a seat heater and both warming the heater optionally even at stopping of a car and cutting off the current in a conduction circuit at low battery voltage or the like. CONSTITUTION:At warming of a heater, under a closed condition of a door switch 14, firstly a manual switch 13 is temporarily turned ON. Then an electric current is conducted to flow in a relay 12, and this relay 12 turns ON a relay switch 10 to flow a current in a heating wire 9 in a seat heater 8, thus a seat is warmed. Under this condition, if a battery 7 decreases its voltage below a set level, an output of a voltage comparator 17 becomes almost zero to turn OFF a semiconductor switch 15 and the relay switch 10 in a circuit of the relay 12 and stop the current conduction to the heater 8. While at conduction of current in the heater 8, if a door is opened, the door switch 14 is opened to release the relay 12, in this way, the relay switch 10 is turned OFF to stop the current conduction to the heater 8.

The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned problems, and an object of the present invention is to enable the seat heater to be energized regardless of the engine switch, and to prevent the seat heater from being energized due to over-discharging of the automobile battery or forgetting to turn off the switch. To achieve this object, the present invention includes a seat heater powered by an automobile battery, and includes a normally open manual switch and a relay switch connected in parallel to the manual switch in the energizing circuit of the seat heater. A relay is provided that is energized via a manual switch and a relay switch in parallel to control the relay switch, and a door switch and a semiconductor switch are provided in the circuit of this relay. The switch is opened.

With this configuration, the engine key switch is not involved in energizing the seat heater, so you can warm up at any time while driving, parking, or stopping, and once the door is opened, the energization circuit for the seat heater remains unchanged even when the door is closed. This has the effect of preventing over-discharging of the car battery, as well as ensuring safety.

12 is a relay that controls the relay switch 10, and a manual switch 13, a door switch 14, and a semiconductor switch 16 are inserted into a circuit that is energized by the automobile battery 7. The manual switch 13 is configured to be normally open, and is connected in parallel to the relay switch 1o. Further, the door switch 14 is a switch that is closed when the door of the automobile is closed.

16 is an overdischarge prevention device, which has a voltage comparator 17 as its main element, divides the voltage of the automobile battery 1 with resistors 18 and 19, and provides it as a non-inverting input, and also provides the voltage of the reference power source 20 as an inverting input. There is. The semiconductor switch 15 of the circuit of the relay 12 is controlled to open and close based on the output thereof. Note that the reference power source 20 is composed of, for example, a constant voltage diode.

Next, during this heating process, if the voltage of the automobile battery 7 drops below the set voltage, for example 12V, the output of the voltage comparator 17 becomes almost zero, and therefore the relay 12
The semiconductor switch 16 of the circuit turns OFF. Therefore, the relay switch 1o is turned off, and the power supply to the seat heater 8 is cut off. That is, car battery 7
When the voltage drops, the load circuit is disconnected, and over-discharge of the automobile battery 7 can be prevented.

At this time, the relay 12 does not work, so the relay switch 10
is opened, and power to the seat heater 8 is turned off. Even if the door is further closed from this state and the door switch 14 is closed, both the manual switch 13 and the relay switch 10 are open, so the relay 12 is not energized and the seat heater 8 is not energized. This means that, for example, the seat heater 8 is automatically turned off when the user exits the vehicle, and accidents caused by forgetting to turn off the switch do not occur.
