Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture reduced iron at high thermal efficiency by constituting a reducing device of powdery iron ore utilizing fluidized bed of a fluidized bed type reducing reaction furnace and a combustion heating furnace and installing the both side by side partitioned by a thin wall excellent in thermal conductivity. CONSTITUTION:A fluidized bed type reducing reaction furnace 2 and a fluidized bed type combustion heating furnace 3 are installed side by side partitioned by a thin partition wall 23 made of refractory material having high thermal conductivity such as SiC etc. Powdery iron ore A and powdery coal B are charged in the reaction furnace 2 and reducing waste gas of reaction furnace heated to 850-950 deg.C is blown from gas dispersing plates 21 at the bottom. The iron ore A is reduced in a fluidized bed formed by formation of char from a part of coal and taken out as reduced iron D. Char C thus formed and auxiliary fuel B' are burnt in the heating furnace 3 and the heat is transmitted to the reaction furnace 2 through the partition wall 23 to accelerate reducing reaction of iron ore. The height H1 of the fluidized bed in the reaction furnace 2 and that H2 in the heating furnace are adjusted to make internal pressure nearly equal. Thus, the partition wall 23 is not destroyed even it is made thin, and heat is transmitted from the heating furnace to the reaction furnace at a high transmission rate.
