Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled composition with good particle dispersibility which can be dyed with a desperse dye at normal pressure, by the addition of fine particles and ethylene glycol before the completion of polycondensation of butylene terephthalate contg. polyalkylene glycol, adipic acid, etc.
CONSTITUTION: An ester obtd. by the esterification or ester interchange of terephthalic acid or a deriv. thereof and 1,4-butanediol, or its oligomer are subjected to polycondensation in the presence of at least one component (A) selected from a polyalkylene glycol, adipic acid and sebacic acid, a fine powder (B) such as titanium oxide of average particle size 0.01W5.0μ classified in ethylene glycol, and ethylene glycol (C), to obtain the titled composition consisting of 95W99.99 wt% copolyester contg. 0.3W10mol% component A and having repeating units of which 70mol% or more is composed of butylene terephthalate and 0.01W10mol% of ethylene terephthalate, and 0.01W5wt% fine powder B.
EFFECT: Good slipperiness and light screening properties.
