Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent reduction of a water head in a feed water vertical hole by providing a small cavity to an aboved described cave in a high pressure air storage power generation system so as to inhibit a high pressure air in the cave from flowing into the feed water vertical hole for hydraulic equipments. CONSTITUTION:A compressor 13 is driven to store a high pressure air in an underground cave 1 by night and a turbine 14 is worked by the high pressure air to generate a power by day. A small cavity 15 is provided to the underground cave 1 and divided into two chambers by a partition plate 16. An air in the small cavity 15 is released upward into open air through an air relief pipe 17. The high pressure air, that is, bubbles (a) which are penetrated into a water pipe 8 due to an unforseen accident is separated from water in the small cavity 15. The air is then released into open air through the air relief valve 17.
