Abstract

PURPOSE: To simply manufacture a shaft rotation device, by utilizing the center hole of a bearing with an inside rib, to mold a shaft from molten resin and support the shaft rotatably in the bearing because of a dimension difference resulting from the contraction of the resin.
CONSTITUTION: An annular rib 4b is provided on the inside of the center hole of a bearing 4. The bearing 4 is then set in a molding machine not shown in the drawing. Molten resin is poured into the center hole of the bearing 4 and solidified. As the molten resin is solidified as a shaft 5, the resin contracts so as to make a clearance 6 between the shaft 5 and the inside of the bearing 4 to support the shaft rotatably. Because of the presence of the rib 4b, the shaft 5 does not go out. The radial play of the shaft 6 is limited by the tapered surfaces 4b of the bearing 4. The axial play of the shaft 5 is limited by the tapered surface 4a and the rib 4b. According to this method, a shaft rotation device is easily manufactured.
