PURPOSE:To provide a molding apparatus capable of molding through one operation an article having radial or axial undercuts or the like thereby a highly precise article can be obtained, by providing divided cores and a center pin that will be moved axially when the mold means is released. CONSTITUTION:In the molding apparatus for molding for example a lens mounting frame 1 having a screw section 2, a shading section 3, an axial relief groove 4, etc., the center pin 15 is provided which will be moved in an axial direction (O) when the molding means is released, and the first divided cores 16 and the second divided cores are arranged around the center pin 15, and the radius of them will be reduced when it is moved. Dovetails 20, 21 extend axially in inner sides of the cores 16, 17, and fit to dovetail grooves 22, 23 formed on the outer circumferential surface of the center pin 15. A stationary core 24 for molding the bottom of an item 11 is relatively movably fitted to the outer circumferential surface of the forward end of the center core 15.
