Abstract
PURPOSE:To automate the insertion of a receptacle by rotating at least one of a picture tube and a receptacle thereby performing the positioning in the rotary direction. CONSTITUTION:A receptacle 31 is inserted into a chuck 32 of a receptacle positioning mechanism 7 while a drive 41 is controlled by a detector 45 thus to position the receptacle 31 against the chuck 32. A picture tube 1 is stopped at the panel section by the stopper 11 and the pusher 13 in a picture tube positioning mechanism 6 while the neck section is held by a chuck 15 to coincide the axis of the picture tube 1 with the axis of the receptacle 31. Thereafter the rotary position of a pin 21 is detected by a detector 30 while a drive 29 for rotating a rotary frame 24 is controlled to perform the positioning of the receptacle 31 in the rotary direction. Thereafter an elevating frame 21 is lowered by a drive 23 until a detector 51 will detect the stem section thus to mount the receptacle 31 on the pin 2. Consequently it is automated.
