Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare the titled ink composition having excellent discernibility, storage stability, and jet stability, by mixing water, a water-soluble solvent and a plastic pigment composed of a water-soluble resin and a colorant at a specific weight ratio.
CONSTITUTION: The objective ink composition is prepared by mixing (A) 10W 80(wt)% water-soluble solvent[1W3C lower aliphatic alcohol (e.g. methanol) or a glycol ether solvent (e.g. ethylene glycol)], (B) 2W10% water soluble resin (e.g. acryic resin), (C) 5W20% plastic pigment (an aqueous dispersion of a non- film forming resin insoluble in the component A and water and having a particle diameter of 0.3W1.0μ and a refractive index of 1.4W1.6), e.g. polystyrene, and (D) the remaining part of water, wherein the weight ratio of the solid contents of the (component C)/(component B) is 2W6.
