Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled ink composition preventing nozzle clogging, bubble inclusion, providing ink drops of proper shape, comprising a polyethylene glycol with a specific polymerization degree and water-soluble dye in such a way that its viscosity and surface tension are made in specific ranges respectively.
CONSTITUTION: The desired ink composition, having a viscosity 4W20 centipoise and a surface tension 40W60 dyne/cm (at 25°C respectively) comprising an aqueous solution consisting of water-soluble acidic direct dye (having a solubility preferably not less than 0.5wt%) and a polyethylene glycol having a degree of polymerization 4W25 (preferably 4W10) as main ingredients. The amount of the polyethylene glycol used is preferably 30W60wt%.
