Abstract
PURPOSE:To control the interface, by connecting the piping connected to the upper and lower sides of an interface to a pressure equalizing device, dividing the inside of the said equalizing device into a light liquid room and a heavy liquid room by means of a diaphragm and simultaneously opening and closing both the valve seat and the valve body provided in these two rooms by means of the diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:A light liquid 3 in a light liquid tank 2 is supplied to a sealed-up container 1 via a pump 4 and a piping 5, and a heavy liquid 7 in the container 1 is supplied to a pressure equalizing device 12 via a piping 8, pumps 9 and 10 plus a piping 11. A diaphragm 14 is provided to the device 12 to divide the main body into two parts, and valve seats 15a and 15b are provided to the divided main bodies 13a and 13b respectively. Then valve bodies 16a and 16b are provided to the diaphragm 14 so as to touch the valve seats 15a and 15b. In case when an interface 7a between the liquids 3 and 7 is set lower than a prescribed height, the diaphragm 14 swells toward the liquid 7. Thus the valve bodies 16a and 16b are opened at a time, and both liquids 3 and 7 flowing out of and flowing into the container 1 increase to raise up the interface 7a. Thus these liquids are reduced to lower the interface 7a.
