Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily locate a component element, and also to set 2 groups of pulse trains having a desired phase difference, by using only one light emission element, and setting its optical axis to an almost intermediate position of 2 groups of slits of a fixed slit plate. CONSTITUTION:One light emission element is placed on the upper side of slits 11 and 12, and light beams which are considered to be parallel rays substantially are projected to the slits 11 and 12. In this case, when a center O10 of a slit array circular arc of a fixed slit plate 10 on which the slits 11 and 12 have been formed so that the phase difference becomes 90 deg. is made to conform with a center O0 of a slit array circular arc of a rotary plate 1, and the slit 2 is also formed exactly, 2 groups of pulse trains (a), (b) whose phase difference is 90 deg. are obtained. The phase difference of the pulse trains (a), (b) can be varied by rotating the plate 10 and varying an inclination of the slit, and a desired phase difference can be set. In this regard, the plate 10 is connected to a photodetecting element holder 40, and the holder 40 can be turned by a screw 43.
