Abstract
PURPOSE: A composition of high concentration, excellent in storage stability and depositing no complex, which is prepd. by dispersing a complex consisting of a basic dye and a specified anionic surfactant in water or a hydrophilic org. solvent in the presence of a nonionic surfactant.
CONSTITUTION: An anionic surfactant of formulaIor II[wherein A is (substd.) arylene; B is aralkyl having at least one aryl; l, m and n are each 1W300; X is 1W3; M is K, Na, NH4, a 5C or lower alkanolamine or alkylamine]is added to a conc. soln. of a basic dye in water or a hydrophilic org. solvent to form a complex, to which a nonionic surfactant such as a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether together with, if necessary, water or a hydrophilic org. solvent is added to adjust the concentration, thus obtaining a liquid dye composition.
USE: Dyeing a fiber consisting of polyacrylonitrile, modified polyester having an acid residue or polyamide, and blended yarn and union fabric of wool or cotton therewith.
