Abstract
PURPOSE:To resolve the delay of the rise of a floating bias and to transmit radio waves of a high quality, by utilizing amplitude information before passage through a BPF filter of an SSB generator as a control signal of the class ''A'' floating bias. CONSTITUTION:The SSB signal from an SSB generator 1 is converted to a prescribed frequency band by a frequency converter 6 and is amplified to a prescribed level by the first amplifying stage 7 and has the power amplified by the second amplifying stage 8 and is radiated from an antenna 9 to the space. The second amplifying stage 8 is set to the class ''A'' opetation stage by the control action of a control circuit 11 to operate as a linear amplifier only when a voice is inputted from a microphone 3; and if the voice input is broken, the second amplifying stage 8 is set to a deep bias stage. In this case, control information to the control circuit 11 is obtained without passing through a BPF 5, and thus, the floating bias is caused to follow the voice signal accurately to prevent the occurrence of the transient distortion.
