The second amplifying stage 8 is set to the class ''A'' opetation stage by the control action of a control circuit 11 to operate as a linear amplifier only when a voice is inputted from a microphone 3; and if the voice input is broken, the second amplifying stage 8 is set to a deep bias stage. In this case, control information to the control circuit 11 is obtained without passing through a BPF 5, and thus, the floating bias is caused to follow the voice signal accurately to prevent the occurrence of the transient distortion.
