Abstract

PURPOSE:To connect an electrode member and a terminal of winding through the melting of the surface of a metallic foil, on the surface thereof a solder plating layer is formed, to simplify structure and production, to decrease defective connection, etc. and to improve yield and reliability by using the metallic foil as the electrode member. CONSTITUTION:The small-sized inductor is shaped in such a manner that the electrode members 10 are formed to the end surfaces of the collar sections to a drum type core 14, winding 15 is wound on the core 14, and both end surfaces 15A of the winding 15 are each connected to the electrode members 10. The metallic foils manufactured by shaping the solder plating layers 12 on the surfaces of the copper plates 11 are employed as the electrode members 10, and adhesives 13 on the backs of the copper plates 11 are fixed to the collar sections 14A of the core 14. The plating layers 12 on the surfaces of the copper plates 11 are melted. Accordingly, the electrode members 10 and the terminals 15A of the coil 15 are connected, the structure and production of the small-sized inductance are simplified, defective connection is decreased, and yield and reliability are improved.
