Abstract

PURPOSE: Double-layered glass pane in which the inner space is provided between two sheets of glass and connected to the outside with a hollow path of a specific shape, thus preventing the condensation of water in the inner space and giving stabilized heat insulation effect.
CONSTITUTION: Two sheets of glass 1 are fixed with the frames 2 to form the inner space 3 between these glass plates. The inner space is air-tightly sealed from the outside except for the hollow path 4 connecting the inner space to the outside. The hollow path 4 is formed inside the vertical frame 21 and composed of the vertically extending hollow path 41, the upper opening 42 facing to the inner space and the lower opening 43 facing to the outside at the bottom of the vertical frame 21. The double layer structure develops heat insultion effect by forming a stationary air layer inside and the hollow path 4 prevents the formation of pressure difference between the inner space 3 and the outside to inhibit the invasion of humidity into the inner space 3.
