Abstract

PURPOSE: A nonionic surfactant of a specific HLB value, an oxy derivative of cholanic acid or its salt and ethoxylated oleyl alcohol are added to the sample to remove the turbidity of the sample with no deactivation of enzymes, thus making it possible to measure the activity of the titled substances.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A nonionic surfactant of 10W13HLB value such as polyoxyethylene alkyl ether or polyoxyethylene alkyl phenyl ether and (B) at least one selected from the group consisting of oxy derivatives of cholanic acid such as cholic acid, deoxycholic acid, glycolic acid, their salts and ethoxylated oleyl alcohol are added to a buffer solution to prepare the reagent. An enzyme or coloring agent are added to the sample for measuring components in the sample together with the above reagent to measure the activity of the substrate or enzyme with no influence of the turbidity in the sample.
