Abstract
PURPOSE: A tire tread rubber composition excellent both in rolling resistance and wet grip, prepared by blending butadiene rubbers having different 1,2-addition contents and prepared by at least two types of solution polymerization.
CONSTITUTION: The titled composition is obtained by blending at least two types of butadiene rubbers containing different 1,2-addition contents, prepared by the living polymerization using an organic alkali metal salt compound as an initiator and a Lewis base as a 1,2-addition content regulator so that the weighted arithmetic mean of the 1,2-addition content is not less than 40wt% and the difference in 1,2-addition content between (I) a butadiene rubber having the lowest 1,2- addition content and (II) a butadiene rubber having the highest 1,2-addition content is at least 20wt%. It is preferred that rubbers (I) and (II) both have a limiting viscosity ≥2.0, as measured in a toluene solution at 30°C, and the mixig ratio, rubber (I)/rubber (II), is 0.1W10 by weight.
