Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect a film state in a camera wherein preliminary winding is performed and a film is rewound in a cartridge on every shot, by providing a switch which couples with a counter operating when the film is loaded and advanced. CONSTITUTION:A gear 55 around the shaft of a sprocket 29 transmits rotation to a one-tooth gear 53, and a gear 54 meshes with a counter gear 52 to advance a cam 51 and a plate 50 by one frame each. A counter switch SWc where one terminal of an operating piece 58 is brought into contact with the cam 51 is off with a cartridge unloaded and on with the cartridge loaded. Once preliminary winding is performed by about two frames, the switch SWc turns off again. The operation of this counter switch SWc is used to detect an error in loading the film and to detect a film ending part while the film is being rewound on photographing.
