Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption, by dividing a control circuit into a part which should always work and another part which has not to work while waiting for a push of a key and automatically cutting off the power supply to the latter part when not required. CONSTITUTION:Either one of the keys on a keyboard 1 is pushed to set an FF12 via an OR circuit 11, and the output of the FF12 is applied to a switch 8 to supply the power to a control circuit 2. The circuit 2 works and receives the output of the keyboard to give the necessary working to both an MODEM3 and a memory 4. When the working is over, a control signal is sent to a keyboard operation control circuit 7 to reset the FF12 and to open the swich 8. As a result, the power supply to the circuit 2 is cut off to prepare for the next keyboard operation.
