Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect a fault with probability even in case when a command value is consecutively given, by calculating the absolute value of the deviation between the command value and the feedback value and deciding the fault of a servo system from the result of the above-mentioned calculation. CONSTITUTION:The command value (a) is applied from a command means 1 in the form of the level of the DC voltage. While the position displacement of a control subject 2 is detected by a detecting means 3 to obtain a DC signal (b) in accordance with the position displacement. The deviation value (c) between the value (a) and the signal (b) is obtained through an arithmetic part 4. Then a servo amplifier 5 controls a hydraulic servo valve 6 with the signal (b). The valve 6 controls the oil flow rate (e) to be supplied to a hydraulic cylinder 8 and then controls the position displacement (c) of the control subject. The absolute value of the deviation signal (c) is monitored by a servo system fault detection element 9. When a fault is detected for the servo system, a signal (f) is transmitted to immediately stop the operation of a hydraulic source 7.
