PURPOSE:To eliminate an unnecessary synchronizing pattern in a picture signal and to rearrange information at a high speed by providing a data fetching device which eliminates and rearranges data between a recorder and a processor for picture data. CONSTITUTION:Data sent from a reproductor 50 to an IO data bus is written in buffers 1051-105n of a RAM14 successively through an address converting ROM103. A buffer control program 107 permits the buffer counter 109 of an internal register 108 to go up by one and also monitors whether input data overflows or not. Transfer to a host computer is carried out after checked by a processing program 113 and microprograms 1141-114n whether a buffer to be filled next is empty or not. Through the programs 1141-114n, data is eliminated or rearranged and at the same time, the transfer is carried out through a signal line 112 successively and repeatedly until processing for one buffer is completed.
