Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a colorless plain paper transfer type pressure-sensitive copy paper having excellent stability, transfer property and coloring property, by adding a specific adhesive to the coating component of coated paper containing an electron-donating colorant, an electron-accepting color developer and a surfactant. CONSTITUTION:After an adhesive containing mainly styrene butadiene copolymer (preferably 10-25wt% of the solid content of coating liquid) is added to a coating component consisting of a colorless electron-donating colorant (A) (e.g.: rhodamine B-anilinolactam), a colorless electron-accepting color developer (B) producing a colored product upon reaction with the colorant (preferably based on salicylic acid for encapsulation), a wax (e.g.: beeswax) and a surfactant, coated paper is produced by coating on the surface of a substrate (mainly paper) with an air knife coater or the like. The objective copy paper is obtained by combining the coated paper with plain paper.Components A and/or B are preferably encapsulated.
