Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent waves from getting out of shape so as to reduce hull resistance, by providing rotating members adjacent water surfaces where waves are liable to get out of shape at such points as a stem part and a stern part such that the rotating members are driven in directions to accelerate the flow of the surface water.
CONSTITUTION: The rotating member 12 is driven, at adjacent water surface where waves are apt to get out of shape such points as the stem, the stern and stem and stern shoulders, through a motor 16, chains 13, 15 and a gear 14 in a direction to accelerate the flow of the surface water. As the surface water is accelerate, the flow is given momentum, the getting-out of shape of waves can be reduced, the loss of water head is decreased, and the hull resistance can be reduced as a whole.
