Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate contamination of the printing surface and reduce noise by arranging first and second holding quide members on the feeding side and the delivery side of a mechanism section for printing print papers to guide printing papers tight on a platen. CONSTITUTION:Printing papers 9 and 10 and an ink ribbon 5 are interposed between a platen 1 and a printing mechanism section 2. A contermination prevention holding projection 6 is provided integrally at the bottom of the printing mechanism section 2 as first holding guide member while a guide plate 7 is done at the upper part thereof as second holding guide member. When printed, printing papers 9 and 10 are held tightly on the platen 1 on the feed side of the printing mechanism section 2 with the contamination prevention holding projection 6 and on the delivery side with a guide surface 8 of the guide plate 7. This allows the ink ribbon to contact the printing paper 9 only when a wire projects thereby eliminating contamination of the printing paper 9. Tight contact of the printing papers 9 and 10 with the platen 1 removing noise accompaning the printing.
