Abstract

PURPOSE:To stir the developer in a desired area of a hopper through a simple mechanism by providing a container wherein the developer is stored, a shaft which penetrates the said container, and stirring members which extend from the shaft radially. CONSTITUTION:On an oscillatory shaft 7, stirring members 5a, 5b and 5c having different-length arms are fixed extending to desired stirring areas in radius directions. When a driving pin 10 fitted on the rotary gear 8 of a driving mechanism meets the projection part 9a of an oscillatory cam 9, a driving shaft 7 rotates clockwise in conformity with the rotary motion of the gear 8. While the pin 10 separates from the projection part 9a, the oscillatory cam 9 starts rotating counterclockwise by a spring 11 and the projection part 9a is locked to stop. This operation is repeated to put the stirring bars in desired rocking motion.
