CONSTITUTION:A coil 2 is transferred to between coil inserting blades 4, and is placed on a stripper 5 and a pusher 7. A slit wedge 6 such as an insulating paper or the like is interposed between the coil 2 and the pusher 7. Then, the pusher 7 is first raised, and the coil 2 and the slot wedge 6 are inserted into the slot 1a of a core 1. Subsequently, the stripper 5 is solely raised to perform the finish-press-fitting of an upper coil end. In this manner, the slot wedge 6 serves to protect the blade 4 and the coil 2 and to function equivalently to the blade fin, and accordingly blade fins can be eliminated.
