Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the leaching of harmful substances regardless of the presence of a cut-off structure in the construction of reclamation by using as a masking agent a powdery granule containing calcium cargonate and zeolite besides wastes and embedding soil.
CONSTITUTION: As a masking agent, a powdery granule, e.g., coral sand, lime stone, etc., containing calcium carbonate and/or cationic exchanger (like zeolite), is used. a reclamation site is shielded from the adjoining ground by means of an earth lining 1, and a water collecting and discharging pit 2 for leachate is provided at the bottom in such a way as to enable it to be taken out. First, a masking agent layer 3a of a thickness of approx. 0.05m is formed in contact with the earth lining 1, and then wastes layer 4a of a thickness of approx. 3m is evenly and horizontally formed and dolidified. Furthermore, an embedding soil layer 5a of a thickness of approx. 0.45m is formed on the wastes layer 4a. In this way, the masking agent layers 3b and 3c, the wastes layers 4b and 4c, and the embedding soil layers 5b and 5c are orderly and repeatedly formed in given thickness for each. Lastly, the embedding soil layer of the surface is compacted to form a reclamation site.
