Abstract

PURPOSE:To clearly observe the rugged shapes of a part to be observed, by providing plural light guides whose lighting directions are different, respectively, and plural illumination light sources corresponding to these light guides. CONSTITUTION:An insertion tip part of an endoscope is constituted of an image guide 7 and the second light guide 9 inserted into the center part of the first cylindrical light guide 8. The tip of the image guide 7 is opposed to an image formation optical system 12 consisting of plural lenses 11, and its rear end is opposed to the eyepiece part. On the tips of the light guides 8, 9, a conical wedge 15 having a small hole 14 is provided, by which the tip part of the light guide 8 is bent to the outside in the diameter direction. Also, on the rear ends of the light guides 8, 9, light sources corresponding to each of them are provided, and on the light source, a control part for controlling the quantity of light is provided.
