Abstract

PURPOSE: To adhere metal foil to the surface of thermoplastic resin molded articles readily and firmly, by fixing metal foil in the mold via thermal insulant and injection molding thermoplastic resin.
CONSTITUTION: Aluminum foil 1 of 0.01mm thickness is fixed with the both faces adhesive tape in the planar article obtainable mold via art paper 3 of ca. 0.5mm thickness. When nylon 12 resin of resin temperature 250°C is injection molded, the molded article of which the planar sheet is adhered with aluminum foil is obtained. By this, metal foil can be adhered readily and firmly to the proper position of the surface of thermoplastic synthetic resin molded articles. Because injection molding and metal foil adhesion are accomplished at the same time, the manual operation to follow becomes unnecessary.
