Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the light, strongly built, flexible, bellow shaped pipe by coating contracting tube on machining pipe on which a spring material is applied, fixing one end of said contracting tube, applying hot water or vapor from one end to the other end.
CONSTITUTION: The spiral shaped spring material 1 which is quenched and coated by resin and the like can be applied on the machining pipe 2. Narrow grooves 3 are provided in said pipe 2 between both ends of the pipe. The spring material 1 is applied around said pipe 2, and the contracting tube 4 is covered theron so that both ends extend over the spring. One end of the tube is fixed by a fixing tool 5, and the other end is left open. The hot water is directly poured from the end fixed by the fixing tool 5 to the other end, or vapor is injected. Then the contracting tube contracts and eats into the gaps deeply in the spring material 1. Then the tube is hardened, and the bellow shaped pipe 6 is formed.
