Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture an aluminium pour rotor having good crystal texture by dividing a die opposite to sprue side into two and forming a vent at the joint and thereby restricting generation of cavities due to gas.
CONSTITUTION: In manufacturing an aluminum pour rotor, the top part is made to mating dies of end ring side 6a and outside 6b. Plural vent pieces 12 provided with plural vent holes 0.05W0.15mm in diameter is attached to the end ring top part side opposite to the sprue side. Holes 13 and notches 14 are provided at the tip as a vent passage and all notches 14 are connected to form a vent passage 15. In casting aluminium, flowing out of molten metal is prevented by the vent piece 12 and only generated gas is allowed to pass, and the gas is exhausted to outside through the holes 13, notches 14 and passage 15.
