Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize developing performance and fixing performance by contg. crosslinked polyolefin or wax or the like. CONSTITUTION:Low mol. wt. polyethylene is melted with two pieces of heating rollers and is thereby melted uniformly, after which it is kept at 120 deg.C and is added with a crosslinking agent and the mixture is kneaded. Next, low mol. polyethylene and magnetite are added to this product of reaction and the mixture is kneaded, after which the mixture is pulverized, and classified to magnetic fine powder. Colloidal hydrophobic silica is added to this fine powder, whereby the developer is prepd.
